Lacrosse goalies have a new resource to help them get even better. New in 2015, Bill Pilat has released The Ball Stops Here II – Advanced Techniques. The instructional video combines both basic and advanced goalie drills and teaching techniques. Both players and coaches will benefit from Pilat’s newest video. The video is available for immediate download online via video on demand for only $30 on Vimeo (https://vimeo.com/ondemand/pilatgoalievideo)
“I really hope that players, parents and coaches will benefit from the new video,” said Bill Pilat, founder and director of The Goalie School. “We’ve put a lot of work into the video and we are proud of the result. It’s everything we’ve been teaching for the last 25 years to goalies and much of what we teach to our current college goalies.”
Bill Pilat is one of the winningest lacrosse coaches in NCAA history. As of 2015, Pilat has won over 300 career games as a head coach, and has led Roanoke College to 12 conference championships, and 12 NCAA tournament appearances. As a player, Pilat was a 3-time college All-American, 2-time ODAC player of year, and the 1985 C. Markland Kelly award winner as the nation’s top college goalie. Pilat is a member of the Roanoke College Athletics Hall of Fame and the New Jersey Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Pilat’s goalie camps, known as The Goalie School, or TGS, have been providing elite goalie instruction for young players for over 25 years. With 100’s of future college goalies attending his camps, Pilat is considered by many to be the preeminent lacrosse goalie educator.
Prodigy Launch served as the primary producer of the video and conducted the distribution research on behalf of Bill Pilat’s Lacrosse Camps. After an extensive search and UX testing, Prodigy settled on Vimeo On Demand service. “We knew that it would be important to find an online distributor that allowed the new video to reach the largest audience possible,” said Matt Burkhead. founder of Prodigy Launch. “After some initiation testing and research, we finally settled on Vimeo and we could not be happier. Their VOD design is great, the customer experience is seamless, and promotional features are flexible enough to allow us to develop creative ways to promote the video online.”
